BroZ Nazom Retreat

Nazom Retreat is a twelve-room hotel in Manbir Colony, Burtuk, just off the Indira Bypass on the northern edge of Gangtok — out of the town's traffic, but only a few minutes from it.

Every room is a 220 sq ft deluxe with a king bed, an attached bathroom, a smart TV, a wardrobe and an electric kettle, and a heater can be added for the colder months. Six of the twelve face the hills, so it is worth asking for one when you book. Rates include all meals, served in the dining room downstairs, and there is parking on the property — not a given in Gangtok.

Tashi View Point is 3.6 km away and MG Marg about the same, Gonjang Monastery is 5.6 km, and the Ban Jhakri Falls park a little over nine. The Vajra taxi and bus stand is a 650-metre walk, which makes onward travel to Lachung, Tsomgo Lake or Pelling straightforward. Pets are welcome for a small charge.
