Nature Notes Dooars Resort

Nature Notes sits on Eco Road in Danga Para, just off Neora More in Lataguri — about nine minutes from the Gorumara National Park gates, which makes the early safari slot easy to keep.

Nine rooms look onto the lawn: a 250 sq ft four-bed room with two queens, two triples with a queen and a single, and six doubles with king beds, some of them opening onto private first-floor balconies. Air conditioning is available in every room on a chargeable basis. Rates include all meals; pool access and air conditioning are billed separately.

The garden is the point of the place — a swimming pool, umbrella seating out on the grass, a bonfire in the evenings and a barbecue when you want one. Beyond Gorumara, Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary is 26 km away and the Samsing tea gardens about 36. New Mal Junction is the nearest railhead at 30 km and Bagdogra airport 72 km. Check-in is from 11 AM, and pets are welcome for a small charge.
